Monday November 25 marked the beginning of the annual international 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaign and Where Rainbows Meet Training and Development Foundation in Vrygrond kicked off its campaign with a workshop and picket. Over the course of two days the organisation raised awareness in the community of Vrygrond and the surrounding areas and educated people about domestic violence against men and women. Muizenberg police attended the workshop to speak about physical, psychological, verbal, emotional, sexual or financial abuse and the roles and responsibilities of police when it comes to domestic violence. Their activities included a peaceful picket along Prince George Drive.
