An event to remember

As part of its 30th anniversary celebrations, Southern Mail hosted its advertisers, staff and editorial clients at a special birthday breakfast on the banks of the Zeekoevlei. The multi-purpose hall at the False Bay Nature Reserve was filled with music provided by Steenberg High School’s jazz band, and excited chatter as guests got to know each other – or caught up with old friends. To mark this milestone in the history of the paper, a souvenir edition was published, with stories about the remarkable people who live in the area covered by Southern Mail, and reminiscences of the rich history of the communities the paper serves.
