As part of an anti-bullying awareness programme, teachers and pupils at Plantation Primary School in Lotus River pledged to stop bullying in their school. The programme is run by the Western Cape Education Department’s (WCED) Metropolitan South district office, with the aim of making pupils aware of bullying and what to do if they are bullied. School principal Cedric Meyer said there had been isolated incidents at the school with pupils displaying aggression. On Wednesday May 10 pupils did sketches and recited poems to show the importance of addressing bullying and how to help those who are bullied at schools or at home.
