Levana Primary School pupils showed their ability to recycle responsibly when they took part in a bread baker’s packet of goodness recycling competition. Pupils from the school in Lavender Hill had to collect as many Blue Ribbon plastic packets as possible since the start of the competition in the beginning of April. The school took first prize for the competition and won R5 000 after collecting 37 000 bags. Liam Brink collected the most bags (more than 800), and won a new bicycle for his hard work. Over the years Levana Primary School has been involved in many recycling and environmental projects and programmes.
