Hillwood Primary School in Lavender Hill received a donation of 400 beanies on Sunday August 6. They were knitted and crocheted by the women of St Mark’s Church, in Plumstead, and the 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day group, which donates handmade blankets to the needy. The beanie drive forms part of the church’s winter social outreach work.
