Break-in

Philisa Abafasi Bethu’s (PAB) centre was broken into and vandalised on Thursday April 12 – four days after they opened their new premises at Lavender Hill High School’s property (“PAB ready to serve community after move”, Southern Mail, April 11). Founder Lucinda Evans said: “A mother’s son of Lavender Hill, did this to the children of Lavender Hill … broke into the children’s space, and stole stationery, damaged the CD player and speakers.” She said they called the police but they were “swamped” with clients from morning to afternoon. However, Ms Evans said, the case had been reported yesterday, Tuesday April 17.
