Police arrested two men from the Ottery flats and confiscated tik with an estimated value of R10 000, as well as mandrax tablets worth R4 000, in Grassy Park, on Wednesday July 18.
Grassy Park Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) were busy with patrols in Klip Road, when the officers saw a suspicious looking vehicle. The driver sped of when they saw the marked police car.
The officers then pursued the grey Ford Bantam bakkie and when the suspects pulled off, police found 50 grams of tik on the driver, aged 44, and the 100 mandrax tablets on the passenger, aged 32.
The men face charges relating to being in possession of and dealing in drugs.
Earlier the same officers had caught a 31-year-old man from Uganda with counterfeit money in Italian Road, Grassy Park.
In that case, a white Mercedes Benz was seen speeding off as the police vehicle approached.
The suspect was pulled over and upon searching the car, the officers found a box containing counterfeit R100 notes in the boot.
The man will face charges relating to the possession of counterfeit money.
