The Cape Flats Development Association (CAFDA) and its community partner, the Guardians of National Treasure (GNT) hosted a children’s Christmas party at the CAFDA headquarters in Schaapkraal on Monday December 18. The children who were treated were from Lavender Hill and the Egoli informal settlement in Schaapkraal. The children were educated about fire safety by the firemen and women from the Ottery Fire Station and other entertainment included jumping castles and games and each child received a meal and a gift. This event was CAFDA and GNT’s last community event for the year. CAFDA and GNT thanked Trident Press, Mark Rossouw and Nazeem Slamdien for the sponsorship of the event as well as the firemen and women from the Ottery Fire Station.
