As Mandela Day was commemorated over the weekend, Where Rainbows Meet, a non-profit organisation in Vrygrond continued re-committed themselves to “work harder and bring inclusion in our communities we serve, together with the people and for the people”. So said its founder Mymoena Scholtz.
She said Rondebosch Boys’ High School donated 164 loaves, which provided “roughly 2 700 sandwiches”. SA Harvest donated chocolates as well. Ms Scholtz said on that day the organisation cooked 10 pots of food to feed the community of three different areas, Vrygrond, Riemvasmaak and Steenberg.
