Two Hillview residents were arrested after Muizenberg police found a trunk buried in the ground which contained nearly
9 000 mandrax tablets with a street value of R360 000.
Muizenberg police made the discovery on Sunday June 25, at about 5.30pm, after receiving a tip-off about drugs being stored in the informal settlement.
The men, aged 28 and 54, were arrested on the scene and were due to appear in the Muizenberg Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday June 27.
