CPF honours Estelle Williams

Estelle Williams

Mark Rossouw, chairperson, Cafda governing board

The Steenberg Community Police Forum (CPF) would
like to honour a fallen hero, who was one of the few female neighbourhood watch members in the Steenberg precinct.

Estelle Williams was affiliated with the Walk Tall Neighbourhood Watch from Steenberg where she was a member for 12 years.

She was not just an ordinary member, but she also held the title as treasurer of the watch. Estelle passed away peacefully, on
Thursday August 14, with her family at her side.

Estelle will also be fondly remembered for her coaching prowess in volleyball and softball. She was moreover an avid community activist, a role she aptly used as a catalyst to influence, improve and change many people’s lives.

It is especially sad that Estelle’s passing coincided with Women’s Month as she was an ardent activist for women’s rights.

The Steenberg CPF along with the Steenberg neighbourhood watch fraternity would like to convey their sincere condolences to the family of Estelle Williams and may her soul rest in eternal peace.
