Fresca elects new office bearers

The FairwaysResidents’
and Civic Association (FRESCA) el-
ected office bearers and adopted a new constitution, at its inaugural meeting on Monday September 26.

In July, an interim committee was elected to lay the groundwork for the association, including drafting a constitution and arranging an annual general meeting.

The interim committee members were Jordri Smith, Dmitri Jegels, Robert Heneke (chairperson), Sharleen Smith, Cassidy Miller and Tracy Andrews. Mr Heneke thanked the outgoing interim committee in his report.

Fresca’s goal is to ensure that Fairways is a model community and a desirable place for all to live.

Mr Jegels, the association’s chairman, urged Fairways residents to get involved and said safety and security were priorities, along with the allocation of resources for amenities lacking in the area.

He said it was time for the community’s voice to be heard.

The next Fresca meeting is on Thursday November 10, at Hyde Park Primary School at 7.30pm. Contact Cassidy Miller at fairwayscivic016@gmail.com or call 084 447 8485 for more information.
