Gardening courses

NPO Soil for Life is inviting residents of Philippi; Bishop Lavis; Cafda; Steenberg; Harare, Makhaya and Makhaza in Khayelitsha, and Westridge and Portland in Mitchell’s Plain to join their Home Food Gardens course, starting in September. Learn how to grow your own organic vegetables and create a healthier life for you and your family. No experience is needed. The course costs R15 a person, which includes 12 weeks of training, ongoing support and a vegetable garden starter kit including seeds, compost, mulch and seedlings. The course starts during the second week of September. The exact day will be confirmed with the participants once they have confirmed that they will be attending and would also depend on which area they are in.
