Group arrested for theft

All the stolen items were recovered in Tokai.
Four suspects were arrested after they were found in possession of stolen goods in Steenberg Road in Tokai on Saturday August 10.

Two auxiliary officers received information of a shoplifting incident at the Blue Route Mall.

They followed up and spotted the getaway vehicle on the M3 highway and Steenberg Road.

They pulled it over and searched it.

The officers found large quantities of Jacobs coffee tins in the rear of the boot, an expensive set of artisan knives and other stolen goods.

The officers placed the four occupants of the vehicle under arrest.

They were all charged with possession of stolen property and will be linked to the case that has been opened by the store manager of the shop in Blue Route.
