As victims of the Khayelitsha fire – and now Vrygrond – start to rebuild following the two devastating fires, Pick n Pay has opened their stores across Cape Town and surrounding areas to accept donations from anyone who would like to assist.
Fire relief donation collection points include:
* All Pick n Pay stores in Cape Town and surrounding areas
* Boxer stores in Khayelitsha
* Pick n Pay online store: https://www.pnp.co.za/khayelitsha-fire-relief
* Cash donations at any Pick n Pay till point.
SuzanneAckerman-Berman, director of transformation for Pick n Pay, appeals to customers,suppliers and communities to support in any way they can.
“It is important we rally together to support families and communities in need. Our nearby stores assist by providing cooked meals, water, energy drinks and grocery items to those affected and to the on-site disaster management teams.
“There is, however, an enormous need for donations, especially for blankets, towels, nappies, baby food, groceries, toiletries, clothing and shoes.”
