Grassy Park police are looking for two men identified in video footage as being involved in the killing of a 29-year-old man in 2nd Avenue on Saturday April 8.
The victim, who was from Sloster Avenue, was found with stab wounds to his neck and died on the scene.
The two suspects are believed to be between the ages of 25 and 30. Anyone with information can contact investigating officer Sergeant Noordien on 074 437 6909.
Four men, aged between 29 and 37, were arrested for possession of an illegal firearm on Thursday April 13.
Grassy Park police officers patrolling Nita Street at about 10pm stopped and searched a silver Toyota Etios with four men inside the vehicle. One of the men was found with a firearm that had the serial number filed off.
The men appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court and a bail hearing will next take place.
A 43-year-old man was arrested for possession of drugs at a house in Hoosain Parker Street, Parkwood, on Tuesday April 11.
Officers were patrolling at about 6pm when they noticed a lot of activity at a suspected drug den.
They found a white bag with 199 dagga stoppe at the house. The man also appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court and is waiting for a bail hearing.
