Members from the Out of Africa dance academy competed in the Hip Hop Unite International Championships at the UCT sports centre last month.
Duo Jordan Wyngaard and Megan Santon were winners in the 12 to 17 age category, Virtual Mindz dance group were winners in the adult category and Mystique won silver in the 35+ senior category.
Another group called Funky Culture also did very well, winning in the 35+ senior category.
They represented South Africa in the 2017 Fisaf International World Fitness and Hip Hop Unite Championships held in the Netherlands last year.
The group of mothers have an opportunity to represent South Africa again in Amsterdam in
October where they will defend theirworldchampionship title.
To get there, however, each of the six members need to raise
R25 000 for the Europe trip and will be hosting various fund-raisers.
