Steenberg police are asking for assistance in a robbery case.
On Tuesday January 30, at about 2pm, the driver of a cigarette delivery vehicle was held at gunpoint and robbed of cigarettes to the value of R120 000.
The man was standing outside the vehicle in Military Road, Steenberg, when three men approached him.
One of the men threatened him with a gun, forced the driver into the delivery vehicle. One of the men drove the vehicle to a back street where they filled up a grey VW Golf (registration
number 440839) with the cigarettes.
The men drove off with the cigarettes as well as the delivery vehicle’s keys.
No shots were fired and no arrests have been made.
