Help Steenberg police solve three attempted murder cases

Steenberg police have asked for the community’s help with three cases of attempted murder in Lavender Hill.

A 21-year-old man was shot four times in Eltister Road on Saturday June 10.

Police arrived at 10.15am and found the man with gunshot wounds to the chest and hand.

Later that day, at 7.50pm, police responded to a shooting at Stone Court where a 34-year-old woman was shot in the buttocks and a 23-year-old man shot in the ankle.

Another case of attempted murder was opened on Sunday June 11 after a 29-year-old man was shot thrice when he stepped out of his home in Thomas Street.

When police arrived on the scene at 7.40am they found the man with gunshot wounds to the chest, nose and neck.

The man told police he had been on his way to work. When he opened the door he was faced by an unknown man who pointed a firearm at him and started shooting.
