The City of Cape Town’s social services directorate started school holiday programmes at community centres and libraries on Monday June 25 and these will run until Friday July 13.

The programmes aim to keep children occupied during their winter break with indoor and outdoor activities, ranging from movie days, board games and arts and crafts to sports and dancing.

Children can also occupy themselves at the various libraries across the peninsula with the usual selection of books and audio-visual materials on offer and enjoy puppet shows, arts and crafts and talent shows.

Southern Mail visited Ottery sports and recreation where the children enjoyed themselves with the activities last week.
