The Southern Mail Wynberg Family Festival takes place at Maynardville, in Wynberg, on Friday and Saturday March 24 and 25.
The fun-filled, family event, sponsored by Southern Mail, will feature a variety of food, fashion and fun stalls and exhibitions as well as more than thirty local DJ’s, artists, vocal groups, dance groups and entertainers. In addition to this, a variety of local and international cuisine will be on sale at the more than 25 food stalls.
Some of the confirmed entertainers at this event include former Idols winner, Karin Kortje, London Louw, Salome and hip hop artist, YoungstaCPT.
Among the DJs who will be playing are Superfly, Godfrey (the yardman), Ron X and Dr Jules. Heart 104.9fm will do two live broadcasts from the festival on the Friday, between 3pm and 6pm, with Suga on her Afternoon Drive show and on Saturday, Tyrone Paulsen, will broadcast his popular dance show from the festival.
No alcoholic beverages will be allowed under any circumstances.
Early bird tickets to the Southern Mail Wynberg Family Festival are now available at Computicket, Shoprite, Checkers and House & Home stores, at the discounted price of R35 each (R50 at the gates) for children aged six to 12 years old. Persons aged 13 and over will pay R50 (R65 at the gates) at Computicket. Children under the age of six, and pensioners – with a valid form of identification – enter for free.
