March against gang violence

On Saturday August 7, the Cape Town Youth Cadets marched through Cafda Village, Retreat with placards displaying messages against the ongoing gang violence. Chairman Aubrey Robinson said: “Our children don’t know what it is to play peacefully anymore as these gangsters don’t care when they start shooting at one another.

“We, as a community youth cadets organisation, want to send out a clear message to our youth by informing them that there are better choices than belonging to a gang.” Pictured are the cadets marching in the streets of Cafda Village.
