An e-hailing taxi driver has died after being shot in Vrygrond.
His passenger was also shot and is in hospital, say police.
The two men, both Nigerians, had been sitting in a Toyota Etios in Trevor Siljeur Road on
Sunday, at about 6pm, when they were shot, said Muizenberg police spokesman, Captain Stephen
Knapp.
They were both shot in their heads.
Muizenberg police are investigating a murder and attempted murder.
The 30-year-old driver had died later in Victoria Hospital, Captain Knapp said.
The 25-year-old passenger, who was in the front passenger seat when he was shot, was taken to Groote Schuur Hospital. It was unclear at the time of going to print what his condition was.
