Seven constables at Muizenberg police station were officially promoted to the rank of sergeant, last week.
Station commander Colonel Ismail Daniels said the officers, four detectives and three visible policing officers, were elated when they were informed about their promotions.
All the officers, Patrick Leaner, Xolani Matsoso, Thandisizwe Kili, Monde Sidinana, Khanyiso Tunce, Patrick Mdokwana and Siyabulela Zazini have been in the service for more than 10 years.
Colonel Daniels encouraged the officers to keep up the good work that they have been rendering.
