Grassy Park’s first Open Street on Sunday December 16, which was the Day of Reconciliation, attracted hundreds of people from the community. Organised by the Grassy Park Empowerment Forum, the Open Street saw Victoria Road being closed off to motorised vehicles and fun and games being enjoyed by all. On the entertainment line-up were singer Jarrad Ricketts, break dancers from Black Noise and Cape Town Freestyler, Christmas carols performed by the Star of Independence brass band as well as the Grassy Park dance troupe, Proverbs 31. WESLEY FORD captured the fun.
