Petrol Dubz charity car club, in Pelican Park, embarked on a charity run for the family of Miche Samuels, from Parkwood.
They handed the donations over to them, at Zeekoevlei, Nature Reserve, on Sunday April 25.
Diego Paulse, 16, the founder and president of the club said: “We did a charity run with the help of other car clubs in aid of the family of Ms Samuels.”
On Thursday March 4, Abdul Salam and his wife Miche Samuels, 30, were driving along Ottery Road with their one-year-old daughter in the back seat when he allegedly stabbed Ms Samuels multiple times in the chest and neck while she was driving – this then caused a motor vehicle accident when another car drove into the back of their red Fiat.
Mr Salam allegedly tried to run away after the incident but was caught by bystanders at the scene.
Mr Salam will appear in court again on Wednesday May 5.
Diego said the clubs managed to gather a few donations such as perishables, non-perishables and baby toiletries for the bereaved family. “The two boys (of Ms Samuels) were super enthusiastic. They got us there but I let them play with the air suspension.”
Diego said “The boys are very fond of us and my members.”
The petrol head said he aims to continue collecting necessities for the family.
