Pilot outreach programme

The Teen Skills NPO launched a pilot outreach programme at Sibelius High School, in Retreat, recently. Various activities were held for the 240 Grade 8 pupils who took part, including boot camp, dancing, yoga, drumming workshops, an introduction to vegetable gardening, and a memory training course. Desiree Dorman, Teen Skills project manager, said: “Teen Skills is an organisation endorsed by the Department of Education to provide life skills to high school pupils thereby creating entrepreneurial opportunities and to empower the youth with practical life skills.” Pictured are Grade 8 pupils who took part in a dance class.
