Police are asking for the community’s assistance in three separate murder cases in Lavender Hill.
A 37-year-old man was shot and killed in Roos Court on Friday December 6.
According to reports, the man was on his way home from a shop when he was shot at about 12.30pm. The man ran to his home where he collapsed and died.
On the same day, at 5.35pm, a 29-year-old man was shot and killed on the corner of Deposition Crescent and St Christopher Street.
Sergeant Wesley Twigg from Steenberg police station said the man was walking in St Christopher Street and was chased by two suspects who fired several shots at him. The suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested.
Police suspect both incidents are gang related.
On Thursday December 5, a 27-year-old man was fatally shot on the corner of St Christopher Street and Military Road, at 6.40am.
According to reports the man was waiting for his lift when he was approached by two men who started shooting at him. The motive for the murder is unknown and the suspects are yet to be arrested.
