Police need reservists

Steenberg police is calling on anyone interested in assisting in the fight against crime, to apply to be a reservist.

A reservist performs voluntary duties in the South African Police Service without any expectations of receiving payment for such duties and is expected to perform a minimum of 16 hours voluntary duty a month.

To be eligible, you must be a South African citizen between the age of 20 and 50 years old; have no criminal record and be in possession of at least a senior certificate (Grade 12) or have successfully completed a SAQA accreditation NQF level 4 qualification.

Applicants must not have tattoo marks which are visible when wearing uniform and that is contradictory with the objectives of SAPS.
