Police seize drugs during raid

Muizenberg police officers conducted a raid and after a thorough search discovered one large packet of tik as well as 14 small packets of tik with an estimated street value of R8 000 as well as an undisclosed amount of cash in Hillview, on Thursday January 26, at 9.30am,

Members of Muizenberg police, under the command of Warrant Officer Adrian Andries, responded to information regarding possible drug peddling in Langeberg Street, Hillview.

A 39-year-old man, the owner of the premises, was arrested on the scene and charged with dealing in narcotics. He is currently being detained at the Muizenberg police station and he appeared in the Muizenberg Magistrate’s Court on Friday January 27.

He is still in custody and his case was postponed to, yesterday, January 31.

Colonel Ismail Daniels, station commander of Muizenberg police, was pleased with the above arrest and congratulated his officers on their good work.
