Post office books community halls to issue new SASSA cards

To ensure all South Africa Social Security Agency (SASSA) beneficiaries have the new card by end of September, the SA Post Office booked community halls in the City of Cape Town operational area to issue new Sassa cards.

The old Sassa card will expire at the end of September.

The new card does not tie beneficiaries to a post office to receive their cash and with it beneficiaries get three free cash withdrawals per month from supermarkets, and
he new card can be used at all ATMs.

To get the new Sassa card, beneficiaries should take their ID and old Sassa card to any of the venues on the dates listed below between 9am and 3pm.

Wittebome civic centre: July 25, 26, 27, 30, 31 and August 1, 2 and 3

Athlone civic centre: July 26, 30, 31 July and August 1 and 2

Rylands civic centre: July 25 and August 3

Strand civic centre: July 26 and 31 July
