Stationery drive

The Cape Flats Development Association (CAFDA) hosted a stationery drive for 100 pupils on Friday February 2. The event was held at Stephen Road Primary School in Lotus River and each pupil received stationery and a bag for the school year. Mark Rossouw, chairperson of Cafda, said the school was chosen because many of the pupils reside in informal settlements Egoli and Knoles Park in Schaapkraal, which now form part of the organisation’s catchment area. Mr Rossouw said: “School stationery has become an expensive commodity to obtain and parents often struggle financially to acquire the stationery. “
