Techno hip hop rapper releases online album

Kyle Weber is set to launch his third online album.

Steenberg musician Kyle Weber will launch his third online album titled Gloriously Good in three weeks’ time.

Kyle 23, grew up using the creative side of his brain and proved that he had music in his veins while at Steenberg High School when he and his friends would entertain their peers.

Since then he has continued honing his talent and his latest offering is an eight-song tape that includes various genres that will appeal to fans of love songs, rap and hip hop music.

He said the first few songs are about his life story, the second part was “more hyped up” and celebratory and the last part was about love.

Kyle said he was grateful for the many producers who have helped him with the album but he would like to thank Lord Charl and Keylow, his “mixer and master” who did the final reading for his recording.

Describing his life in music, he proudly said: “Music is my life. As I grew up I was exposed to music because my mother Natasha used to sing at church choirs.”

Kyle used to rap at concerts and was inspired by the song Resurrection by Bone Thugs * Harmony.

Although he didn’t study music, he has a natural talent for song and dance and taught dance at a primary school for four months last year.

His first online album in 2017, called Motives, had a variety of songs he wrote himself.

“The second album called Roots was launched in 2018.

“The songs were about myself and a few friends who grew up in different areas such as Steenberg, Muizenberg and Port Elizabeth We formed a group called BWO (Bad World Order).”

Growing up in Steenberg was challenging with bad influences all around him but Kyle focused on music and he said his aim is to “leave a piece of myself” for people to remember him by.

He said he’s always searching before he produces an album on “how can I do things differently?”
