Twelve neighbourhood watches in the Grassy Park precinct attended the Emergency First Aid Responder (EFAR) training course, at Metropolitan Evangelistic Church (Burning Bush), in Lotus River, on Saturday October 22.

Nicole Jacobus, deputy chairperson of Grassy Park community police forum (CPF), said the course was initiated by them for neighbourhood watches which included Carola Neighbourhood Watch, Ferness Neighbourhood Watch, New Horizons Neighbourhood Watch and Ottery Safety.

She said the aim was to “upskill members” so they could help family or when on patrol when the need arises.

“We would like to thank Metro Ambulance personnel who came out to do the training and to the sponsor who donated refreshments to this group.”
