South Peninsula (SP) High School pupils took part in an essay competition organised by Al-Ihlaas library in Lansdowne recently. Pupils had to reflect in their essays on how they viewed South Africa and articulate tangible solutions to our problems. At a prize-giving, attended by the Head of Education, Brian Schreuder, Grade 10 SP pupil Emlyn Hendricks obtained second prize for his essay. The school also achieved the accolade for having the most number of entries (37) out of the 500 received. The prize-giving was held on Sunday October 7 at the Academia Library based at Islamia High School. Pictured are Emlyn Hendricks with English teacher, Mark Frank
