Participants in the eight-week Wordworks Home School Programme for parents, graduated and received their certificates on Saturday April 14. Aysha Wyngaard-Gaidien, one of the facilitators, said the parents had been attending workshops for two hours on a Tuesday and Thursday. The programme involves teaching parents how to help their children with homework, but more importantly, how to connect with their kids and to create a bond which provides a platform of security for the children to open up. The programme is ongoing said Ms Wyngaard-Gaidien.
