Young people from New Horizon heard about “positive role models” at a Youth Day event organised by the neighbourhood watch at the field in Starling Road. Mayoral committee member for safety and security JP Smith, Grassy Park station commander Colonel Dawood Laing, and Ward 67 councillor Gerry Gordon were among the guests. There were talks by motivational speakers Clint le Roux, Mohammed April and Anton Borez, and the young people heard about the requirements for various careers.
