Youth programme returns

After a two-year absence because of Covid-19, the Youth Day events held by Where Rainbows Meet, a non-profit organisation, returned to the streets of Vrygrond last week. This year, the organisation partnered with the Cape Town ST Owners car club, Metro Police, City Law Enforcement, traffic services and Muizenberg police to celebrate the public holiday on Wednesday June 16. The day’s events included performances by dancers from Vrygrond, Overcome Heights, Lavender Hill and Nyanga. “Our aim was to encourage the youth to express themselves and to let them know that are important to their community,” said Where Rainbows Meet project manager Kyle Cupido.
