The convicted kidnapper of Zephany Nurse will only hear her fate later this year.
The Seawinds woman appeared in the Cape Town High Court on Monday May 30 for sentencing but the case was postponed.
The state was ready but the woman’s attorney Reaz Khan requested a delay in proceedings, saying that reports had to be finalised.
The convicted kidnapper will now appear in August in an in-camera hearing.
Media will not be allowed in the court as it is believed that Zephany will be testifying.
Zephany was only three days old when she was taken in 1997 from Groote Schuur hospital.
The Seawinds woman who raised Zephany was arrested last year after investigations revealed that the girl in her care was actually Zephany Nurse.
