George March, whose funeral was on Saturday March 2, at the St Augustines of Hippo Anglican Church, in Lotus River, was one of the founding members of Georgie’s Angels.
We have lost a man who dedicated his life to the community when he passed away on Saturday February 24, at the age of 77.
Myself and a few of the Georgie’s Angels non-profit organisation started the Angels in February 2014. We celebrated our 10th anniversary on February 14.
We serve the Philippi horticultural areas as well as the greater Lotus River, Grassy Park and Ottery areas with food and essentials.
The Angels will definitely continue serving the community and Mr March’s hard work, advice and dedication to the poorest of the poor will definitely remain our priority.
What stands out for me and he will be remembered for his dedication and just that listening ear he had for everyone, no matter who you are.
