Tribute to Alderman Oliver

Ward 63 councillor Monty Oliver, back centre, with other councillors from Sub-council 18.

Councillor Shanen Rossouw

It is with great sadness and sorrow that I as Sub-council 18 chairperson and (on behalf of the) Sub-council 18 administration pay tribute to a loved colleague and democrat Montgomery Oliver, who was the elected councillor for Ward 63.

Alderman Oliver’s support, helpfulness, loyalty and integrity are what made him a true colleague and leader. He leaves a void and absence in the sub-council that will be dearly missed.

He was known for his unwavering dedication, sense of humour, kindness and affection and his willingness to assist the wider community. Our deepest sympathies to his life partner, daughters and grandchildren. Our prayers and thoughts are with his family and friends during this time of bereavement.
