Ralph Bouwers, Lavender Hill
The shooting continues in Lavender Hill: mothers scream and a father, the fear in him draining the blood from his face, rushes off, through the danger, to find his 16-year-old son whom he sent to the shop
We feel let down, unable to fight the system.
This shooting cycle repeats itself and promises to be no better tomorrow. Until one of us dies again, the cycle will remain unshaken.
In daylight, fear grips the community. We have been meeting about this over and over again.
We keep on praying for a good heart to take firm actions.
Thank you to those who have helped to feed the needy in the community, including elders, little ones and even the dogs, but food remains a big need in many homes.
