■ The second season of this year’s Cape Town Concert Series will open on Saturday August 19 at the Baxter Concert Hall, at 8pm, with a concert and milonga for dancing by the SAMA-nominated Cape Town Tango Ensemble. The group will play a programme of virtuosic chamber music from the tango repertoire. To demonstrate the physical dance aspect of tango, the recital will be followed by live dancing at a milonga in the foyer, celebrating the Baxter’s 40th year on a festive note. Tickets are R180 or R150 for senior citizens. Book through Computicket.
