Al Jama’ah party in collaboration with the Cape Town Islamic Educational Centre (CTIEC) hosted a campaign against crime in Pelican Park, New Horizon and Eagle Park, on Youth Day (June 16), on the field in Catbird Avenue, New Horizon. Ra’ees Samaai, a member of the Al Jama’ah Political party, said guest speaker Colonel Dawood Laing, station commander of Grassy Park SAPS, spoke to parents about how to communicate with their children to prevent them from getting involved in crime. Posters with “Put an end to gangsterism”, “We have a right to quality education” and “Stop child abuse” were displayed.
