Crestway High School Grade 11 and 12 pupils attended a career day hosted by the Crestway Alumni Association, the school governing body and school management team on Saturday May 27.
The pupils could learn about various careers from business owners, tertiary institutions and professionals from multiple sectors including the South African Police Service (SAPS), City of Cape Town, Law Enforcement and Fire and Rescue Services.
Guest speakers included Abdul Sayed, CEO of the Sabindi Group, Euodia Samson, an actress who hails from Lavender Hill, and ex-Crestwaynian Selwyn Bartlett, a media and broadcasting entrepreneur. They spoke about their life journey, lessons learnt and motivated pupils to work hard to achieve their dreams.
The Crestway Alumni Association is planning another career day for September and urged professionals and entrepreneurs, especially ex-Crestwaynians, to come on board.
