Grassy Park police arrested a 34-year-old woman for cultivating dagga in Murtz Close, Grassy Park, after they received a tip-off from the community.
Police followed up on information about the dagga plants in the garage of a house on Friday June 22 and at about 4pm they searched the house.
Officers found 16 large pots and 51 small pots with dagga plants and equipment used
to cultivate the dagga plants such as fertilisers and fluorescent lights.
The woman was arrested on charges of possession of dagga and the cultivation of dagga
and appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate’s court.
The award system allows any adult member of the community to become pro-actively involved in the prevention of crime.
Crime and criminals can be reported and a reward could be received by the person who reports the crime.
