Paul Johnson, Ladies Christian Home, Gardens
The Ladies Christian Home was born out of the concern for the welfare of elderly women in the Cape Town area.
This need still exists. There is a critical shortage of suitable accommodation for elderly women at a reasonable cost so a home such as this fulfils a real need in the community, even some 139 years after its establishment.
This applies particularly to women who are single or widowed and have no one to provide them with this level of care.
We cater for
women of all races, faiths and language groups.
We believe that a lack of finances must not exclude anyone from being admitted to the Ladies Christian
Home.
We are largely dependent on funds from the public for our needs, which include, feeding, accommodation and medical care.
It is for this reason that we ask for your help.
Ladies Christian Home is registered as a public benefit organisation (PBO) in terms of Section 18A of the Income
Tax Act (Act 58 of 1962). Contributions are tax deductable
up to 10% of an individual or
company’s taxable income.
