Several organisations have shared their Mandela Day pictures. The day which is celebrated on July 18 annually, is meant to do good for 67 minutes in celebration of the late statesman Nelson Mandela. 1 of 4 Staff of La Colombe restuarant in Silvermist spent their 67 minutes treating pupils at Hillwood Primary School to a healthy and nutritious meal. Cafda School of Skills spent some time pampering seniors at the Douglas Murray Home for the Aged in Cafda and pupils from St Marys RC School and the Cape Opera did a heart-warming performance of much loved songs. Southern Destinations, American International School staff and Syntell Business Solutions also did their bit and pampered staff and residents of the home. Members of Parliament visited Montagues Gift Primary School in Parkwood where they handed over school shoes, sanitary towels, paint and a white board projector to the school. The group also adopted the school and pledged to assist the pupils and staff after Mandela Day. Members of Parliament hand over shoes and sanitary pads to pupils.
