A 65-year-old woman was held up in her home in Rochester Close, Heathfield, on Thursday June 14, at 6.30am.
Two men entered the home by opening a window and took the house keys from the micro-
wave next to the window. They entered the
house and threatened the victim with a gun and tied her hands and feet with electrical
cords.
The suspects took two laptops and one Telefunken flat screen TV. No shots were fired and no arrest have been made as yet.
Steenberg police have registered a case of house robbery and anyone with information about the incident is requested to contact Steenberg police at 021 702 9000.
* A 39-year-old man and his passengers were carjacked in Urfield Road, Lavender Hill, on Thursday June 14 at 7.45am. The man was delivering cigarettes at a shop in Hek Street when he was approached by two unknown men who forced him and his passengers to drive to Urfield Road where a white Toyota and a Toyota Verso was waiting.
The suspects off-loaded four boxes of cigarettes into these vehicles and sped off while the complainant and his passengers were still in the vehicle.
No shots were fired and no arrest have been made as yet.
Steenberg police have registered a case of carjacking and house robbery.
