Stellenbosch FC was crowned Engen under-18 Knockout Challenge champions in the Western Cape leg of the competition, following a 5-3 victory on penalties against former winners Cape Ubuntu FC, at the Rooikrans sports complex, in Grassy Park, on Sunday.
Stellies, along with Cape Town Roses, who beat a resilient RV United 2-0 in the girls under-20 final, will represent the Western Cape at this year’s national Champ of Champs.
Roses booked their spot at the nationals for a second year running after coming into the tournament as defending champions.
